In Massimo Bottura’s opinion, Italy’s tastehas to rise to the same heights of its beauty. To this end, the two elements have to be blended together: as it is indeed at the Gucci Osteria. Here the food goes hand in hand with the Florentine fashion maison, in an amazing hall that overlooks one of the most magnificent squares in the world.
Bottura does not see this new endeavor as a fine dining restaurant, instead he plays the osteria card, employing a peculiar concept of Italian dining. And he modernizes it, encompassing our whole tradition and mixing it up: it was only natural that the Mexican chef Karime Lopez would be at the stoves.
