The stage of Ristorante Guido is the throbbing heart of the Langhe, in the splendid estate of Fontanafredda. From a staircase, you reach the frescoed rooms of the restaurant. The main characters are Piero and Ugo Alciati, two of the three sons of the great Guido and Lidia Alciati, who in 1961 founded restaurant Guido, but in Costigliole d'Asti.
They are the unquestioned pioneers of Piedmontese fine dining. Today, Piero in the dining room, like his dad Guido, and Ugo in the kitchen, like his mum Lidia, celebrate the ritual of travel through hospitality, dedication to the guest, and a Piedmontese cuisine that is rich in precious virtuosos and contemporary techniques.
